Into the 2nd Trimester

So things here have been a little crazy lately! I had a scan at 9 weeks (man, I haven’t posted here for a while!) - saw the baby and it looked like a baby this time!! Had a bad doctor experience so decided to change doctors. My previous doctor was really rude to us once we said we wanted to give birth in a public holiday rather than a private one! I guess he was counting all the $$ he WOULDN’T be getting from us for delivering in a private hospital!!
So off we went to find a new doctor - we finally found one, had another appointment this week (at 13 weeks) - it was AWESOME. This doctor was SO much nicer, seemed to be more interested in the baby, AND he gave us a TONNE of print outs, AND a free DVD of the ultrasound, WITH the talking so we don’t forget what is what!! And he also could tell the gender of the baby! (although at the moment, we’re just telling family) - I didn’t even know it was possibly for the doctor to find out "with nearly 100% certainty" (in his words) at 13 weeks!! The only BAD thing about this doctor was the long waiting time - it was an HOUR before we got in to see him!! I booked another appointment with him, but this time we’re going to the FIRST appointment after the 2 hr lunch break, so HOPEFULLY we should be straight in and out then…
In addition to all the doctor stuff, I’m beginning to notice that my tummy is starting to "round" a little - it’s not as flat as it used to be. But strangely, it’s HUGE at night time and then after I sleep and get up in the morning, it shrinks!! Weird, hey? No other major changes, except my fingernails are growing like crazy, driving me nuts because I seem to ALWAYS need to cut them!!
There’s only 3 weeks now until we head off to Europe! I’m really looking forward to seeing my brother, spending more time with my hubby, and seeing the world a bit! Everything is booked and paid for already - we just need to leave is all!! Hopefully the flight won’t be too painful - but leaving from Hong Kong is much better than the same trip from Australia. We’re already 9 hrs in that general direction - so it’s just a 13 hr flight to London, then 2 hrs more to Denmark. Not SOOOO bad!! Can’t wait!!
